Default Changing dashboards

Hello all first time posting a question so we will see how this goes.

So I have a 2004 mustang gt (manual)equipped with ugly grey interior so I bought a used dash from an 02 V6(auto). And I was wondering when I move the dash over will I have any ignition issues because my gt has the small release button for the key when the V6 doesn't. And when I removed the V6 one from the car it had a cable coming from the shifter to the dash and my gt dosnt seem to have the same cable so do I just ignore it?

Thanks for any help you can give

[QUOTE=Cade1020;8707440]Hello all first time posting a question so we will see how this goes.

So I have a 2004 mustang gt (manual)equipped with ugly grey interior so I bought a nice black used dash with the steering column from an 02 V6(auto). And I was wondering when I move the dash over will I have any ignition issues because my gt has the small release button for the key when the V6 doesn't. And when I removed the V6 one from the car it had a cable coming from the shifter to the dash and my gt dosnt seem to have the same cable so do I just ignore it?

just swap the covers. drill a slot for the key release and swap the steering wheel.
