You guys are funny...I just got the Flowmasters on my 06 GT 2 days ago and I thought...whoaa these are louder than I *thought* they'd be! Of course the last muscle car I had was a 1969 GTO back in 1980 so it's hard to remember what it sounds like. But man, you guys must like 'em loud if you think the Flowmasters are not enough. I swear if I had those SLP's I bet I'd be afraid to turn the engine on! <g>

When I had just my O/R H-pipe and SLP loudmouths... Everytime I started the car cold, it would sound like an explosion... Cruising at 65mph or Revving it... it sounded absolutely mean... Accelerating normally or Full Throttle and it was a bit raspy. Kinda not what I wanted. I wanted loud, but I want a deep throatyness too. I've got resonator's installed now. It's deeper, tones break up at certain RPMs but not as much. I'm 75% satisfied.

I have the SLP LM and I am starting to feel like they aren't loud enough. Waiting for the money for LT's and a O/R X pipe, I think I will go with the cats though, don't want that raspy ****

I don't know about you but I have Flowmasters and an off road X. It's too loud for certain times like trying to sneek out of my neighborhood in the morning and not wake everyone up. Also when trying to ease by the man from a dead stop. I'm telling you it's loud and raspy. I can't imagine SLP LM's with an off road X. I think i'm gonna put the resonators on. Who has stainless resonators for a good price?

Will a cop actually pull you over for being to loud?
I usually don't get messed with, I have an out of state plate and I guess its too much paper work for the small infractions that I have. For exampl.. being as loud as hell, no front plate, and expired inspection sticker. It expired in December.

I think every area is different but being too loud is definetly a pullable offense. Out of date inspection sticker is a no brainer.

I think because I'm in Arkansas and my car is registered in Mass that they can't tell that my sticker is out of date at a glance. Also I don't think they expect me to drive back to Mass to get a new one any time soon.

Then I guess you can get away with it for awhile. The ricers where I live have the man looking hard at loud exhaust.
