Default FRPP exhaust options...

Hello all...my first post as I purchased an '07 GT a week ago...all black...will post a pic in my sig soon!

As my car has about 300 miles on the clock...I figured that I have waited long enough and I can start modding it! First is the exhaust, as I NEED it to sound nicer (performance is nice, but I NEEEED it sounding right first!)

I decided on the FRPP/Borla Stingers after hearing all of the sound clips and needing stainless steel in the wet, damp northeast.

I noticed in the Moss catalog that there are 2 exhaust options from FRPP for the GT - one with 3.5" tips and one with 4" tips....the 4" tips were $100 cheaper. Anyone know the difference between the parts? I am going to order the 3.5" as that is the pair that everone else has put on, but I would like to know the difference.

Thanks in advance...this is one of the more friendly boards that I have come across...not like some of the boards for my other hobbies...

The ones with 4" tips are the FRPP GTA's, oval in shape & slightly louder than stock. I have those. They are the ones put on the GT-H's
The ones with 3.5" tips are the 5GT,'stingers', round in shape & quite a bit louder than stock.

Thanks for the reply...how do you like those mufflers? Is there any dreaded "drone" with them?

My last car (a Cadillac Eldorado), I put on Dynomax exhaust...it sounded really strong, but I still wanted it louder (I know...it was a Caddy...I am a sicko!) Do you think I'll face that with the GTA's instead of the 5GT's?
