IMPORTANT TUNE CHOICE
I am ordering the C&L CAI and the X-CAL2 from brenspeed this weekend. Along with the polished violater exhaust. My question is concerning the tune what are some of the pro's and con's to a 87oct. tune to a 93 oct. tune outside off gas prices? I use my car for minimal back and forth work driving but she is mainly a toy.

I went with the 93 tune. If you break it down you are only paying about 3 to 4 dollars in difference. Easiest way to decide is put the 87 tune in, drive a little and then put in the 93 tune and drive it. I never did the 87 tune but I definitely felt the difference with the new tune. My is a daily driver and I put about 80 miles a day on her. Depending on how you drive I get 4 days out of a tank give or take but I get on her now and then during the drive...lololol

That's where you get the benefit of the tune -- using higher octane and then tuning to take advantage of it. I did both and I thought it got better punch in the high end of the powerband (but we can only do 91 in California). Do it!
