engine problems!! please help me
hi guys, i had an accident a couple of months ago and to make a long story short, i think i may have damaged the engine a little. i don't know much about cars but i assume it's the engine. It is making this moaning sound, very similar to the one the cluth packs in the LSD make, except you can hear it is coming from in front of you instead of behind. I can mainly hear it when i'm around 45 mph and @ 1500 rpm, and it is still there when going slower but it's just less noticeable. The only thing i can think of right now is to check the engine oil again, last time i checked, it was missing 1/2 quart.
please if anybody knows anything about this kind of sound, please help me, it is making me crazy.

I'm not sure of your problem, but if you had a accident and this problem is related to it,take it back to who ever did the repair work.It should still be covered under your insurance.
yeah, it is covered by insurance and the guys at ford told me it would all be covered by warranty, so it won't cost me, but i'm just desperate to drive the car. They told me to take it in monday, and that they would try to figure out the problem.
the damage was on the front-left side. i had suspension damage, a bent strut, and they also replaced all front-left suspension components. please forgive my noobieness, but, how do i fix it if it is a bearing?
oh, and yeah, i can only hear it while rolling, if i'm doing 5 or 10 mph in a parking lot, you can't hear it, but from 45 and up, you can definitley hear it and it gets worse with every mile an hour you increase, at least until 60, cause i got scared of doing more because of the sound.

It should be covered by the insurance, so just let the shopthat did your repairs do it. It shouldn't take more than an hour to replace. In the mean time don't drive it if it's possible.
Good Luck
Good Luck
Sounds like it could be in the bearings. Driving it will only make it worst. I know its hard to not drive it, but you could do more damage. Take it back to the shop as soon as it opens and let the insurance take care of it.
