Default cat removal question

first off, there are no imissions in florida so that doesn't apply.

so i was thinking of taking out the cats and had acouple ofquestions.

are there any gains or losses from this?

will this set off the check engine light?

Cat removal = gains.
Cat removal = check engine light coming on periodically.
Just keep your tuner on hand so you can reset it when it does.
That's onegoodlookinGT there man!

with removing the cats it will set off the o2 sensors unless u go and get an o2 simulator which is basically just like a chip that u plus ur o2 wires into and it simulates the reading that would of been there if the cats were still there i dont think this part is expensive i believe it is like maybe 2 to 3 hundred and i know it is an easy install cus my friend did it to his 2000 gt and it only took him about an hour

They are called mil eliminators and cost nowhere near 2-300....you can turn the sensors off with the diablo tuner though so the CEL wont come on again. Its in the manual. Or you can even contact the vendor that did your tunes and they can shut them off for you.

Ahh, that's right! I forgot about that. I don't use that feature so it slipped my mind. Sorry.
Being in Virginia, Fairfax County which is one of the most over regulated commy counties in the world, I have no hope of ever being able to remove my cats for street use. Too bad too because I sure wouldremove those carbon collectingflow clogging expense causing pieces of crap ifI could!

Cut them on a Roush, turned off the sensor with SCT, seemed to be a slight gain and sounded great
