Noob Question
Hey guys, im new on here. Well im lookin to get a 07 gt. And have the dealership install a supercharger,(btw their giving me a bunch a choises on chargers is their any difference between the saleen, svt or roush superchargers?), Lower it, bodykit, lota crap. My question is, is that the right way to go aboutdoing those mods?and how quick am i lookin to be with the supercharger? Thanks
The way to answer this is to first decide how quick you want to be.A stock gt is running about a 13.4 ish 1/4 mile. I would go with a twin screw over a roots sc. (Saleen, whipple, kenne bell)I think the ford racing sc is the same as the whipple. The saleen s/c starts to loose efficiency at about 14 lbs of boost. The whipple and kenne bell will go much higher. Also how much do you want to spend? Unless your looking the rebuild the bottom of the engine, you prob shouldn't go past 10 lbs of boost on any sc.
Get the FFRP supercharger (Whipple)! Are they going to include the supercharger under the factory ford warranty?
If not, the Roushcharger is the only one I know of that can retain the factory warranty.

^^^ unless you are going forged internals, you may want that warranty down the road.

although one thing I noticed...Roush says they'll pick up your 3/36 but Ford's powertrain is now 5/60...so what's up?

Also keep in mind that you are actually paying the warranty when you buy from Roush, their kit is highly overpriced, roots SC's are cheaper to produce than Twin Screw, less efficient and create more heat, oh and make less hp for the money, I am not saying their kit is bad, just that their warranty is by no means free.
