Which Delete Plates do you recommend???

Steeda Economy Charge-Motion Control Plates

OR

Steeda Charge-Motion Control Plates

Differences, pro's & con's other than price???
Hi 2006gtmike,

Don't buy either of them! Buy the FRPP CMCV deletes off the web, I bought mine a while ago for $85. Who do you think Steeda buys the "econo" CMCV plates from? The FRPP and Steeda "econo" delete plates areboth the same and are simply the stock castings that have not been preparedto accept the butterflys and control motor. The port size differences between the pretty Steeda billet plates and the OE castings arevery small and in any case the FRPP CMCV deletes are already larger than the openings in the heads and intake manifolds. Making the openings larger only in creases the port turbulance and I doubt that is going to help you any. I have run the FRPP CMCV deltes on a Mustang dyno and the differences I've seen are in the 8-12RWHP (SAE, Smoothing 5), range much like a Meziere EH2O pump results.

HTH!

Hi howarmat,

Where did you hear this info? You mean to say that Steeda took over making a casting that Ford was and is using on every Mustang GT 3-Valve motor? The FRPP castings say Ford on them as do the stock castings with the butterflys as do the Steeda Econo castings.

The FRPP website still lists these parts for sale, look at this link: FRPP CMCV delete plates

HTH!

So, even though the FRPP 2005-07 MUSTANG CMCV DELETE PLATES are listed on their parts website they have been discontinued? That's not very economical, haha.

ok so why dont you just take your stock plates out and get rid of the butterflies and get the mod for free insted of buying it from someone?

Hi 06_gt,

You can do that and it works fine. All you have to do is to weld up the holes on the ends of the plates.
