Default 3.73 or 3.9 gears!

I have been going back and forth every day trying to decide which to go with. I have an 05 Manual. Any suggestions? It's my daily driver so i dont want to go and screw with milage too much. And i have been looking at the amercain muscle 3.9's....any other company that would be better to get them from?

Like Howarmat said, the 4.10s will make you happy. The 2005s I think came with the 3.55, I can't see the switch from 3.55 to 3.73 being worth it. With 4.10s, driveability is fine, mpg is fine (better in the city because less throttle needed at mellow standing starts) your top speed will be fine. I used Ford Racing (FRPP) gears from www.jegs.com (part #0397M-4209-G410A). Good luck.

4.10s
+1 unless FI is in your future. Even so, you could prolly run a 75 shot wet kit and still cross the 1320 at the top of fourth with 4.10s. But 3.73s for s/c, turbo(s) or big nitrous setups.

I have an Automatic and went with 3.73, I wish I had went with 4.10. I may change to a 4.10 in the near future.

I want to do gears since my manual is still stock and am going to do 4.10s, but how are they with a twinscrew s/c. I was looking at doing the brenspeed stage 1 saleen next spring.

Torque240, I would call Brenspeed and ask them. They told me last year that the stock gears would be the way to go for a S/C. Since I decided to stay normally aspirated, I went with 4.10s.
