Default Bad sincros

I just took my 07 GT back to ford because I blew a sincro ring. Basicly what happened was I could go into second but the gears would grind, unless I matched the engine/tranny speeds. I was wondering if anybody has had similar problems. I am not suprised ot broke but I was suprised it was second that brok first. Any ideas. Also I am running a bit over 350 hp at the wheels.

Just had the same problem fixed on my 2000 Ford Ranger 5 speed(synchro going from 1st to 2nd shot). Difference is, I've got 130,000 miles on it. What kind of mods are you running/how many miles on that tranny? For an 07, seems premature for the synchros to go bad.

I have 11000 on the car. Mods are fairly basic. CAI, throttle body, headers, O/R X-pipe, and some 4.10s, and a tune. its nothing big enough to do that much damage. The dealer replaced most of the tranny when I took it in. It was covered under warranty, so it was not that big of a deal.

glad it was under warranty for you. maybe you just got a bad first tranny. Good luck with the new one.
