Ok guys, i ran out of gas today (right at the entrance of the gas station). Since then i refilled the tank and while going home the engine light came on twice, went into limp mode and died twice then it did it again when i went to get my girl from work and then again when I got to her house. I put it on my SCT and it didnt come back with any codes. Does anyone have any idea's as to why this would be happening? Thanx.

possibility u damaged ur fuel pump. The gas in the tank not only powers ur car but also cools the fuel pump down while running. By you running it out the pump could have overheated. You should never let the guage get past an eighth of a tank til empty. Im guessing you run it low often and thats bad.

Sorry to be the one delivering bad news. I dont think are cars comps monitor fuel psi so no codes would be generated for fuel psi loss.

 

damn and I ran just with 1 mile left to empty the other day. I almost ran out too. :::::::::::::

 

If there are no codes and the car is within warranty I would yell at the dealer and get the fuel pump replaced for free under the TSB that is out there for our stangs....Just a thought
