Default Another #@%$ Gear question

Anyone that's gone from 3.31 to 3.73 gears, how much did it knock off your ET in the 1/4, especially with an auto? I've tried the search function and it doesn't find anything for me.

I did that exact same thing, but never measured my car before and after. And starting to think my tires are a bit big for the car lol.

I'm going to do it and I know I'll like it, just curious what to expect on times. I'd like to get well into the 12s before going to drag radials and giggle gas. I've managed to talk myself out of 4.10s deciding on 3.73s as I'm on the highway most if not all of the time. Plus that would really screw my MPG on the 500 mile drive to work.

general rule of thumb is 2.5 tenths for a .5 or so gear change. 3.73-3.31= .42

I have a stock06 GT auto, do I probably have 3.31's? What about 4.10's as opposed to 3.73's? i'm trying to learn. Thanks.
