x pipe

ok I put the FRP XPIPE ON THE CAR it change the sound a little but now i would to take off the cats is it worth it to get a muffler shop to make the pipesto fit to the x pipe for power how much more power will it give me and also i have flowsmasters

you might check the price at the muffler shop, it may be better to just order a o/r x-pipe and install your self. you will probly see 5-10 hp by removing cats. and if you do that you might as well put on LT's at the same time, will save you time and money by doin it all at one time instead of piece by piece

I wouldn't do it bro. I had an offroad x pipe put on when I was running flowmasters and it sounded terribly raspy / poppy. There are nurmerous exhaust combos and o/f x pipe with flows isnt one of the better ones. Call brenspeed or another top line shop. Im guessing with flowmaster they would recommend an offroad h pipe. Would sound much better. If you want an x pipe, a different muffler setup might be advised! I recommend just doing an axelback. I put SLP Loudmouths on my car and it sounds loud and agressive! Maybe invest in some headers with it. You wont regret it!

You're kind of defeating the purpose of the FRPP X-Pipe. This X-Pipe allows you to retain the Cats, so you wont have issues if your State has emissions inspections.
