Default TB question

I have seen many of the comments and problems associated with some of the aftermarket TB's and the follow up reccomendations to go with a GT500 TB.

My question is ... will the silicone sleeve for CAI adapter that connects the CAI tube to the TB of the 3V GT fit the GT500 TB or would youhave to locate the correct adapter?

I was in the market for a TB a few month ago until I heard all kinds of horror story's. Unless your are putting sick power to the ground 600+rwhp it is a giant waste of money and most people I talked to bought it and took it back off right away. That was aftermarket. I don't know how well a GT 500 will work, but still think your better off spending the money on other mods.

JDM, who developed and sells the GT500 install kit and T/B package(comes with all you need)will tell you if you are N/A the only benefit you will see is a crisper throttle response, but no power gain worth mentioning. They are recommending it for high output F/I applications to really see a gain from it. In addition, several people have reported a hood clearance issue due to the fact that the T/P motor mounts differently on the T/B and the corner of it contacts the hood. Really no use messing with the T/B. The factory piece is great untill you get into the 600hp + range.

Ah ... fair enough ... a few more dollars for suspension parts.

Much appreciated.

Definitely get some suspension. A lot more useful than a TB now.
