Borla/FRPP Exhaust Problem/Leak
I just installed the axle back Borla/FRPP on my new 2008 GT. I torqued the supplied clams to the recommended specs (35 LB/FT) and when I started the vehicle up, I could feel a small amount of exhaust leaking from muffler/pipe joint. I tightened the clamps a little tighter but I still can feel a little leak. I talked to the guys at FRPP and they said that this is normal and the pipes will self-seal/expand after driving for a few days. I was wondering if this could be due to the nodule on the stockexhaust pipe used to align the muffler? The clamp is placed directly over it. Has anyone else had this problem? Any help would be great. Thanks.

RE: Borla/FRPP Exhaust Problem/Leak
I wouldn't use u-bolts they're are permanant and will dent the pipes. I bought some 2" wide stainless band clamps, they fit over the joint and stretch around it making a perfect seal.
This is what they look like. I bought mine at NAPA for $9.00 a piece.
