Cold Air Induction HELP!!!
Hey everyone! I am new to this forum and new to the 07 Mustang GT world. Currently I have nothing but a bone stock 07 GT Premium minus the bassani x pipe w/high flow cats, and Flowmaster American Thunder axle back exhaust. I only have 6K miles on the car so I would like to not void the warranty by using a tuner at this point. At least not until I hit 50K miles and the warranty is expired. I have read a lot of polls and results about different options from the BBK CAI, K&N typhoon, K&N ??regular??, and MMR. Does anyone have a preference or seen any outstanding results over another brand? Also should I combine a TB spacer to begin with or wait until I replace the TB itself? Pretty new at this and just looking for some guidance. I can tell you that I am leaning towards the typhoon, but it only states a very small increase in HP which is actually less the I guess what they call the standard K&N kit. Thanks for the help!
Don't mess with a tb spacer. At first I also wanted to do the no-tune cai. But as many have wrote, the no-tune intakes still throw a cel. There not as much no-tune as you think. Pick up a jlt or a c&l street from brenspeed or bama and you'll be good. Most of the gains are in the tune, not the intake. Tunes also help get rid of the throttle lag. Tune your car, if theres a warranty problem, flash back, put factory intake back on, and drive around for a few cycles and take in.

Ditto what brad281 said. If you're worried about the warranty that much, don't touch a thing and come back when you hit 49,999 miles. Otherwise, definately a CAI & tune combo from Brenspeed, Bama, VMP, Evolution... The roughly 15-25 RWHP increase or more will put that warranty crap way back in your mind.
Word! Do I have to purchase the tuner or can I have my buddy’s shop dyno tune it? I am leaning towards MMR, JLT, or C&L for the CAI. I am looking at keeping this as my everyday ride so don’t expect to ever hit the low 13’s but I would like to put on full length dynotech headers along with CAI and probably 3.90 gears over my 3.55. Possibly 4.10’s if they are available. Thank you guys for your help.

Check with your buddie's shop regarding which handheld tuner they support. As far as the CAI, they're all equivalent in performance so your choice is based on what pleases your eyes and your wallet. Headers would be cool and you'll need the tune for that. I'm not sure I'd go 4.10's but I do a lot of highway/long distance. I'm sure the guys here will chime in on that. But 4.10's WOULD rock.
