Default Driveshaft

Well I bought an aluminum driveshaft off of my friends '06 saleen (only has 3 or 4k on it and never raced with). I was just wondering, since I really don't know much about drivetrain, if there are any problems when installing one, or once its installed? I've read on the internet about pinion angles but Im not sure how much that will affect it.

Sorry for being dumb haha but this is what the forums for right?

Technically you should adjust your pinion angle after installing it. I installed mine a few weeks ago and haven't touched the pinion angle. I have no noise or vibrations so far.

You can look at the procedure on the sticky Tacobill has about his DS replacement. Even has pics. https://mustangforums.com/m_3627551/...tm.htm#3627551

I will be surprised if you dont have issues with your drive shaft. I can tell you that I have had a aluminum and a chromoly d/s and both had vibration and a cabin noise. Yes I adjusted the pinion angle. When I put my stock shaft back in all the problems went away. Every new mustang ive been in with a aftermarket d/s has had some sort of issue. I wish everyone on these forums would be honest about the problems they have with different parts so people wont waste their money.

I don't have any problems. I think the pinion angle only comes into play if you car is lowered. If you're just changing the driveshaft from the stock one how would that affect your pinion angle at all?
