Based on the storyline of the movie having been in Japan,chances are that Hot Ford motors wouldn't have been available for the empty engine bay.Different for sure,Not my style but a neat swap.

2jz swap, I like it. Everybody is calling this blaspemy but nobody ever complains when someone does a SBC swap into a RX7, 280sx, Miata, etc...

It's not supercharged, it's turbocharged. And it's making 340 to the wheels. So the car is making around 390-400 crank hp. And I assure you, that's w/ a low boost setting.

If you don't mind having to doa complete engine overhaul every 65K miles, and that's if you drive it easy. The wankel rotary is one of the most over rated engines of all time.
