Default Most efficient power adders?

What kind of mods add the best power for the money but dont rob economy too bad? My mustang is a DD but id live to hit that 400 Hp i hear about
Not looking for fi at all. way to expensive. So i know intake/headers/exhaust is a good start but what else should a look for in my DD/weekend warrior.

Nitrous, that's the cheapest way to hit 400hp.

if you are looking for more power you are in trouble because it doesn't stop. with intake/headers/exhaust you will spend 2000 to 2500. and you WILL want more. if you save a little longer you could get a "cheaper" s/c and have 400+ without getting into the car too much. just a thought good luck

Staying NA and nitrous not withstanding, you MAY be able to hit 350 RWHP with a LOT of work including some internal stuff; perhaps more with MORE internal. But for all the aggravation and expense just consider going FI.

Still, nitrous or a CAI & tune are your BIGGEST bang-for-the-buck power adders. After that it's mostly nickel and dime HP.

Everything I've done to my car works very well and I still get stock MPG's and when I put control arms and relocarion brackets on I"ll go from 13.0 to 12.8 on those garbage BFG's street tires that come stock and dead gears.
