2005 GT Spark Plug Install 48 K on Car

Is it true that the 2008 dont have these issues.

I have heard that before. I believe it's because Ford became aware of the problem and began putting anti-seize from the factory on the spark plugs, thereby allowing them to come out easier than the previous models.

Ford made a running change with these heads. Sometime in Feb 08 the design was changed and the plugs are different. Anti sieze was not the cure.

If anyone needs the spark plug extrator tool, send me a PM. I found a place that sold it for only $75. I think Snap-on is asking for over $100. I ended up never using it. If you need it, let me know!

The new plugs are one piece, but look more like a regular spark plug. They dont have the long smooth piece that breaks off.

I read these and it makes me not want to change mine out but I know the longer I put it off the harder they will to take out. Im only at 23K right now. My buddy works at snap-on im gonna see what he can do for me.

If the number on the label on the drivers side cam cover ends in AB you have the new style heads and plugs.
