Default CAI Cleaning

Hey guys, i have had my CAI for a while, and just went outside to pop my hood to peek around at the underdrive pulleys and where they were because i ordered some. Anyways i looked at my CAI and that thing is so dirty and nasty.

I have no idea how to clean it. I believe i heard people saying they used a K&N cleaner package or something. Can someone link me on how to clean it or what i need to do to clean it because it's super dirty and past due for cleaning.

Just go to advance auto parts or whatever and look in the air filter section. You will see the K&N Recharger kit. It is a bottle of cleaner and a bottle of oil. It has instructions inside, but basically you take your filter off the car, go to the sink, shake your filter out as much as possible, spray the cleaner on the outside of the filter, let it sit 10 minutes, rinse in the sink from the inside-out. Then let it air dry for a couple of hours. When its dry, spray it with the oil and let it dry at least another half our or so, so that it doesnt get on your MAF sensor during startup.
