RAM AIR

Can you post a link so I can see the specs?
Hopefully other forum members will correct me if I'm wrong but here's my take:
The stock throttle body can pass move a certain amount of air. The stock intake is known to be somewhat restrictive and a CAI will improve on that. However, the engine cannot benefit sufficiently from the increased air flow on it's own so a custom tune is required. Any CAI that is worth it's weight requires a tune (including some that claim no tune required).
A ramair system, IMO, will not perform any better than a CAI and will still require a tune to be able to utilize the air flow for the best performance. Not knowing how the ramair system is designed and IF it's made for our 4.6L engines, I'd be concerned that it would not be compatible with the MAF sensor unless it came with a tune.

It's a RAM AIR from Cervini: https://www.cervinis.com/product.asp...1&id=1208#1181 part#1181 hood and ram air. It says no tuner needed.

I don't think you're going to notice any tangible difference in performance with a "ram air" setup over a conventional intake setup on the S197.

Dont think Ramair happens until higher speeds.

This is what I would do if I was on the track only.

I'm not 100% on this so feel free to correct me but this what Cervini's told me when I got my ram air setup from them. Basically you'll have a small power increase from about 30-70mph, after 70mph air just goes right over the hood. But then again I have #1171 hood which starts farther back, the closer to the front of the hood the more effective the ram air will be.
Honestly though I think it's more of just a looks thing because the power gains are marginal and not very noticeable.
