Default Very novice question...

I am making a trip out to the track tomorrow night and I have a 100+ octane tune from sct that I can throw on my 08 GT before I head out, right now the car has pypes shorty headers, OR X, midmuffler CB, and a jlt intake w/ 91 octane. Is it worth throwing the tune on and getting some 100 octane or is it just a waste of time? thx

you dont want to run a 100 octane tune if you dont have a full tank of 100 octane. driving to the track on 93 octane gas with a 100 octane tune will probably produce detonation and you will hear valve ping. I would try it with 93 octane first and see if you can do better next time with 100.

Good news... I ran the 100 octane and despite the super hot temps here in vegas and the cracking bald things i call tires I was able to pull a 13.75@ 105... http://qik.com/video/1679761
