I want to keep it emissions legal.. the LT's have the mid pipes catted but from what I hear there's no real guarantee in passing except with by the 'sniff test'. I already have cut outs, though they are closed and after the cats so they can give me shiet all they want but it'll still pass since the block off plate is on there. Plus I can say it's only for track use.

I am unfamiliar with the legality of LTs. I know they provide the absolute best flow overall, but I need something that will not give me issues at the DMV come IM time.

Plus, with LTs the cats sit so far back I would not be able to use cut outs since it'll be right before the axle backs. I have straight through pipes the back so it's not like that matters, I just prefer cut outs.

Plus shorties are less expensive, more torque off the line, cheaper to ship...

If youre worried about inspection..get the JBA shorties! in states that do visual inspection, LTs are a instant fail ( and can result in fines) also some states will fail you for having cut-outs as well.

I would rather purchase shorties and hotrod cams ($1,850 Installed) before buying LTs with a midpipe ($1,750 Installed). More bang for the buck!

The Late Model Restoration has them for sale but they are considerable less then the other sites... just curious if they were the same thing.
Not sure as I thought they come in ceramic coated (shiny) or titanium coated (dark or black in color). Check with Late model and get the ceramic and be done with it.....good buy!

^^ they're on their way. They are both ceramic and titanium from my understanding. I have seen them advertised the same way everywhere else... stainless steel, ceramic, or ceramic/titanium.

Took me awhile to find a good deal too!

the jbas come in three different finishes. one is just regular stainless steel. the second option is silver ceramic coating. this one is shiny and helps keep heat inside the exhaust pipes and not in the engine bay. the titanium ceramic is the third option. it is like a dark silver color and is not quite as pretty looking, but supposedly lasts longer. I've had the silver ceramics on for around 6k miles and the finish is still perfect so far...

That's because latemodelrestoration doesn't have any and there estimated ship date is WAY off, when I placed an order it showed they would ship the next day, well after a week with no shipping info I contacted them and after a few emails back and forth I found out they aren't expecting any till at least the end of the month (I ordered on the 12th) As luck would have it someone on "another forum" was selling a brand new set so I canceled my order (told them they should fix the website, said they would but still haven't) and bought them from the ad.

The only place I found that has them in stock and price isn't to much more is http://www.centuryperformance.com/ they are 480 there, also have good customer service.

I was a disappointed with latemodel's service, I called them to cancel and they kept saying how they informed me when they would ship. Yeah, but ONLY after I contacted them, maybe that's why there price is so cheap...

damn it. I knew about their drop shipping method, but they told me 8-10 days... not 15-20!

Not sure if I will wait it out or just order from another site.. it's already been two weeks, if I ordered from another site, I'd still have to wait another week unless I want to pay inflated shipping to AK. By then, LMR should have sent it by then.. SHOULD HAVE.
