Default Engine Bay rebuild

The whole car is being gutted and rebuilt for dragracing only. Factory color was redfire or torch red (cannot remember which). The exterior has been painted a two-tone red on top and black bottom. Pic shows that the engine bay is completely gutted at present and painted black. A lot of the engine bay parts are being powder coated red, so that the whole engine bay will match the exterior paint scheme.

pic of engine bay.... the intake manifold, and valve cover that have come back from powder-coating.

Sweet.

I would like to see you in the low 9s. I think you have the mechanics to get there. Just needs some massaging.

"see you in the low 9s"

That would be nice...however mid 9s is what we're thinking, based upon the two 10.0 runs were with car running on fouled plugs and having to be restarted at the tree. This will be at the same power level as before, just running way better and around 350 lbs lighter, also with the new JPC intake manifold and upgrade to stage III heads and IIIspr cams.

If that goes well, then we'll up the boost from 22 to 27 lbs, lighten car up some more (going to return style fuel cell) and see what happens.
