Default C&L Manifold

http://www.cnlperformance.com/05_3v.html

Has anyone tried this new manifold from C&L? Man they are promising at least 10 to 15 horsepower for normal stock engines and 30 to 40 with modified engines such as polished and ported heads. Today is Saturday and I have been meaning to email Brenspeed and inquire about it. It does require a tune that's why I would like to talk to Brenspeed since that's what my car has enjoyed all it's life. Like to hear some feedback.

Its a waste of money. My buddy has a Turbo 07 and is sponsored to be one of the street kings for MMFF articles and he actually lost 2rwhp and gained 2rwtq. The stock manifold is the best hands down. This is the biggest waste of nearly $1000... good news though, Ford Racing is in the process of making an aftermarket manifold for the S197's, so hopefully we will have a winner there.

I don't have any experience with the C&L but I would also wait for the FRPP manifold, It was road tested in Car & Driver and the engine revved to 7,200 RPM which is flow wise impossible on the stock manifold so atleast we know it flows a hell of a lot more.

Hot damn, that thing looks pretty insane... Do you know if anyone has yet to have it in there car and back the claims on the power gains? 15-20rwhp for N/A and 40-45rwhp for boosted apps is a serious gain.

We have the JPC manifold in our car but has not been dynotuned yet, so cannot comment on hp gains. Actually as car is being rebuilt and engine bay is empty, had the thing powder coated along with some other parts.

With an $1800 price tag, it BETTER be the real deal.

To all the C&L haters:
You guys do a lot of poo-pooing on this manifold, and the final production units haven't even shipped yet. I'm not defending the product, just saying wait until there is some unsponsored and unbiassed real world testing before you go telling people it's a waste of money. For all you know the FRPP manifold is no different, it is just projected to have $100 lower price tag.

I don't care whose fully funded and sponsored super-turbo-widget-mobile race car lost two horsepower on a prototype unit. I want to see the results of a final production unit on an average daily driver with intake, exhaust, and cams.
