Default HELP!

I bought a 2008 Bullitt in the u.s.a and brought it up to canada. For me to register the car it has to pass an inspection. In canada we need day time running lights. The trick is the head lights are HID lights and nobody up here knows how to hook up the drl lights with hid lights.

Any advice is greatly appreciated for i have a beautiful car that is sitting in my garage

Thanks

You check with webelectric? They have daytime running light kits that turn on the turn signal lights during the day time, not sure if that is good enough for you to pass inspection?

have you considered LED after market kits? Alternatively you could either add the GT grill and fogs (make these the DRLs) or convert the HIDs to regular lights and have the dealer enable the the DRL feature.

I read a Ford Dealer can make that Mod for you. May be as easy as a programming change to the ECU.

They won't take your word for it that you will turn them on yourself?

What about just wiring up a 4 or 5pin relay to turn on with the ACC? That way when your car turns on the headlights turn on too.

What is the specific requirement? We need to know exactly what the law is so that the appropriate solution is given.
