Default MGW installed!!

I just installed my MGW Shifter. I gotta say, its def a big difference. This was the most complicated install that i've done. Although not "complicated" but mechanical wise this was a step up in levels of advance skill set. The last this i installed was my cmdp plates. So i send this out to all those who likes to put actual sweat into their car; ON a nice day, with good beer theres nothing like being under the hood of a sexy woman/ or man for you ladies. Next install this week is...... bassani catted X pipe.

07 Gt grey, 12'' black stripes, side and rear window louvers (black), deep dish bullit wheels, JLT2 cai w/93 oct tune by brenspeed, Steeda UDP, CMDP, 4.10 gears, Flowmaster , MGW SHort shifter!!

After 2 years of the Hurst, I just ordered my MGW. While I have always loved the short throws and notchiness of the Hurst, the shifter height always bugged me... just too high and fifth gear is still just a bit too far away from me. Couple that with the fact that I just cannot take the rattling of this thing in third gear anymore (living with the dreaded "Hurst Rattle" for a year now), I figure I will give the MGW a try.

In Hurst's defence tho, they did offer to replace the shifter, provided that I could produce the original reciept for the shifter... most of which happened to end up in my puppy's belly about 4 minutes after the box arrived.

Just becareful banging second gear because it will start tearing up your shift boot. The shorter you make your shift arm the lower the boot sits in the console and the overlapped material takes up the gap between the aluminum block and the console.

i dont know if its me, but the car just feels different with the MGW. THe shifts are shorter and notchier, but the car feels different. i can't explain it. It just feels different overall, the sound, the vibrations from the seat. Humm, maybe its just the overall change. But GT bob, the MGW is Great!! Feels like a mustang, the way it should be.

The MGW is so money! I have it set about 40% shorter, and it was really weird at first, but it's broken in so nicely. My stock **** fits much better too...doesn't auto-twist off.
