Default Wrench sign and P2135 TPS/Pedal issue

So I there has been this wrench limp-mode showing up every so often with my car. I drove the car home from Tennessee with no issues (8 hours) then this spring it started this limp-mode every so often. It happens when I am cruising and the throttle is stationary at about 2k rpm, then it just goes into limp mode. This has happened multiple times with no code. One time it did throw a P2135 TPS/Pedal position sensor code. I do not see a TSB for the 2007's only the 2005 for the TPS. Any ideas?

Since know one else has spoken I can only tell you what I went thru.I was told limp mode is your PCM telling you something is failing and is protecting the engine by going into limp mode.I had this problem but I let the issue go on for quite a while. Then one day it started throwing lean codes. Sure enough it was the TPS. Replaced it, erased the codes and all was fine. Hope this helped

Same happened to me. The TB wiring was bad. Give that a look unless you already fixed it lol

Well I thought I did, I found a loose wire where the TPS wires were extended due to the crimp connectors. So I soldered those, but I left the other end crimped. So about 400 miles later I get the code again. So I soldered the rest of the wire extension last night. So we will see how she goes.

Mine does it sometimes. Low RPM in 5th gear usually going up a hill. Traced it to the supercharger bypass valve. KB has a fix for it, not sure if Whipple does.

What was the KB fix? I have a Whipple that just started the same thing.

I dont have a stang, but I have a 05 f150 5.4 with the whipple 2.3l with 10psi built by JDM, Sounds like you might have found my problem. For the past year my truck has drove me nuts. same issue you have, intermittently shuts down while driving- p2135 p2106. Brought it to 2 ford dealerships and $2000 bucks later still no fix. New throttle body/tps, MAF cleaned and even a new PCM/ECU, still shuts down.. I know the wire extension your talking about, main harness from whipple to throttle body that ahd to be exstended. the splices looks tight and solid with heatshrink splices. Im at the point where ill try anyting to get rid of this problem. Thanks for your time.

My splices "looked" perfect, until I pulled on one and the wire slipped out! I did only one side, and kept getting the codes. Then I soldered all of my extensions including the MAF extension. Haven't had a code since my post. Trust me. Yank them all out and solder them. However I wasn't getting the other code 2106 you're getting.
