Missing UDP installation bolt
The proper type of puller for the 3V crank is usually referred to as a Chhrysler puller. It has extensions that go into the bolt hole so that the actual puller is not pushing against the snout. Pullers with the other type of jaws (like Harbor Freight) don't work well.

A typical install tool looks like this, this is a Lisle, but there are several makers available.

Bruce, I bought that same installer from Harbor freight. However, none of the threaded pieces in the kit are the same diameter as the new crank pulley bolt that I bought from Ford. It looks like that is a puller for alternators and water pumps, but doesn't look like it will fit the crank pulley. Have you used this kit with success on the crank pulley?

Just bought it on Friday. It is a pulley puller and installer kit for accesory pulleys. I'm waiting for some 8 rib pulleys and an overdrive damper to arrive. I was hoping to be able to use it for the damper also. More than likely I'll use a long bolt to pull the damper on. There are a few fastener stores nearby that carry a wide variety of bolts.
That wasn't my original suggestion because I didn't realize you weren't trying to find a "right this minute" solution.

(I will go measure my Steeda bolt length and edit this post...BRB)
EDIT:
Steeda Bolt = 2 3/8" or 60 mm

Stock Ford bolt = 2" or 51.5mm

Side by side
