I just installed a pypes off road x, as expected my check engine came on, Is it going to do any damage to leave it. I plan on getting a tune and CAI but just got to save up for it. Any advice?

 

It won't hurt anything but it WILL mask any other problem that would throw a CEL.

What do you think of the change in exhaust note with the O/R X?

 

Its great, very loud. Thought the wife would not like but she likes driving it even more now. I am sure my neighbors don't enjoy as much as I do. I also have Ford Racing Stingers.

 

Yeah, I have the Stingers with the balance of the exhaust stock. At start-up, I know the neighbors aren't very happy with mine. Good to hear that thay sound good with the O/R X. My g/f is the same way your wife is; she loves the sound and doesn't give a ratz azz about the drone.

 

I have the Roush O/R exhaust and was thinking of adding an O/R X. Given your experience with the stingers, would my combination be over-the-top loud?
