Default 5 speed issues

I have a 2006 GT with a 5 speed. The issue I am having is with the clutch. If I depress the clutch pedal to the floor with the car in gear the clutch will start to engage after about 30-45 seconds. It still shifts smoothly in to all of the gears. I'm trying to figure out if this is due to the slave or master cylinder. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

Feel around the master for fluid. It's located under the dash.

I crawled under the dash and felt around. Everything is dry inside. I will try and inspect the lines on the outside of the firewall tomorrow when there is more light.

It could be bypassing internally. I have seen this with brake master cylinders and I am sure it is possible with clutch master cylinders as well.

Have you noticed the fluid in your brake master cylinder needing a refill lately? Keep an eye on the level, you may have a leak in the clutch hydraulics. The clutch master and slave feeds from the same fluid reservoir as the brakes.
