I donīt care if itīs cost effective versus FI, or not, I want it!

The stock TB flows 875 cfm for crying out loud. While there is some room for improvement it's not going to be in big numbers, at least not while being driveable.
What would you say if one were to install this kit, along with proper longtubes/CAI/dynotune, and a stroker crank?

BTW, I just gave a quick look on CJPonyParts, and 3,700$ isnīt a very good deal on that kit. You can buy everything individually on CJPP for 3,711$, or if you get the cams/manifold/TB combo, itīs actually 3,645$

Free shipping either way. 10% off days might effect the covers making it 3,622$, but Iīd just paint the old ones and cut the price down to 3,420$

Granted, I don't have the manifold and TB, but take a look at my sig. There are guys without heads and less aggressive cams making more HP than I do across the board. Long tubes sans cats might improve my numbers a little but drivability on the low end would SUCK!!!

If you are going to do the heads, you need a pretty aggressive cam to take advantage of the top end flow,.... and be prepared to lose some low end torque. I suspect that the FRPP and C&L manifolds will only compound the gain/loss from heads and cams on both the top and low end. Mid range is likely to change very little.

I'm jumping in the boat with the guys that say the manifold is best suited for high compression N/A builds or high boost applications.

I'd say you have deep pockets. You would also need stroker pistons and rods. Eaglestroker has a setup close to what you are describing except I think he's at 11:1 on cr and has some custom heads and cams. He doesn't post on here much anymore but I believe he was making right around 375rwhp.

The dyno operator used STD correction. Dyno comparisions are generally made with a SAE correction. To convert from STD to SAE the number needs to be divided by 1.026. This would give you a SAE corrected hp of 284. It would also make your initial 278 STD read as 270 SAE. Going from 270 to the 325 Nuke guessed is 55rwhp, a significant amount.

Now with all said I'd love to see you make the numbers you want to. I'm not trying to pee in your cornflakes, just add a bit of realism. I would love to be wrong on this. Go buy the parts and put them on. A head swap isn't that difficult, there is lots of room under the hood of our cars.

You could start a build thread once you start.

I have considered the FRPP package myself, even if they bring about humble numbers.

Just to keep things "simple". Sure, it's not a 550whp top end monster, but with a high stall converter, lightweight drive-shaft, lower control arms and the Top end package- the GT would still be pretty brutal at the drag strip and lots of fun to drive around town.

Here's a thread along similar lines. It's from another forum so hopefully this link will stay.

I think this month's Muscle Mustangs and Fast Fords tests the package!September issue.

I believe it says the FRRP intake manifold under the article but I think they actually test the whole package.

Well, I spoke with the dude again and he ended up running 12.3@114mph with some MT ET Streets, launching at 4500RPM.. something I am NOT capable of doing with the stock crappy 1800 stall torque converter lol

I was right at 12.5@110mph, with 2.0/2.1 60 fts. all day.

He ended trading it for an older STi though ...WTF?!

It's all good.. a few more mods and I'd dip into the 11's, something I very much doubt he could have done without some sort of FI. Great times for the mods though...
