Default Roush M90 Install

As requested, I started a new thread. Of course, the beginning is ripping everything out. It took a couple of hours to remove all the piping, electrical, and manifold. Funny, when we pulled the manifold off, there was a nest of some sort underneath it. If you look to the back, you can see some pinestraw. I don't know what was trying to live in there but it must have been HOT!!

The next pic is of the bumper removed, it was a little bit of a pain to get it off but not to bad. Check out the radiator in this pic because the next pic shows the massive size of the intercooler. I think Shane had said they increased the size of it for the 2010 and that looks to be the case.

The intercooler:

We finally hit page 30 or so, and got to start modifying and bolting stuff on, We were all excited when we got to the manifold:

Then we set the blower on top, just to see what she's gonna look like when finished

Sorry about the quality of the pics, they were taken with a cell phone.

And I posted install pics that weren't life size, ha!!

I cant wait to referance this in a few months when I put mine on! Looks good so far, it looks like the install is as easy as it seemed. Good luck, and I cant wait to see what kind of power your gonna get. Do you have any plans to change out the pulley and add a diff tune?

I am, but I'll wait til the Warranty is up. If you make any MODS to the M90, it voids the Roush Warranty. When we were installing we were already talking about the pulley and some other mods. I haven't looked at the VMP tune, what all is in that package, but my understanding is that it will take you to 500HP with the M90.

The install is pretty strait forward. There are a couple of areas, such as the brace for the water pump, the plumbing for the intercooler, that weren't that clear from the drawing. They give you a part number in the directions, but it's not marked on the plumbing? But you figure it out and move on. That's probably what takes so long on some parts, is figuring out what they are trying to tell you in certain sections. The pictures, IMO, aren't that great when you get into the technical sections of how a piece bolts on.

after bolting that shiny thing on you will have to bling the rest of the engine bay so it matches

Yeah, I told the wife that Ford mandates chroming out the rest of the engine bay in order for all chrome parts to function together properly. She's not buying

Now that is hilarious!!

Seriously though, if you are thinking about doing something with the cam covers down the road, now is the time to do it while everything is apart. When I swapped my covers (several months after installing the E-force), I was kicking myself for not doing it at the same since many things will be in the way once the charger is installed.

Good call, I point this out to her. Any recommendations?

As luck would have it, I shared your wisdom with the "BOSS" and she said "go ahead and order it". SO, the S/C install is on hold I guess, and I'll be ordering the FRPP Chrome Covers from AM. Does anybody have the discount code? If they overnite, then I'll have it on Wednesday, so we can finish the install. I love it when a plan comes together. Thanks DOOGIE
