but has anyone considered the torque loss at lower RPM when you go to LT headers and deleted cats? Gain up high = sacrifice down low.

You will see it on a dyno sheet.

Seriously save your money for longtubes. Install is the same long or short.

Thats why I went with shorties... I didn't want to lose low-end torque.

And the price difference between shorties and long tubes is almost NSR cams with install.

Whoever quoted $250 install fee, that is a decent price. I installed FRPP shorties 4 years ago and it was a S.O.B. to do in my driveway. It is about the same amount of labor for the LTs or Shortys. I recently paid a shop $400 (labor) to install tuned LTs and it was well worth the money.

If you are in California you probably will have to go with Shortys, I don't think any LTs are Ca. legal. So I would go with equal length if possible.
