M-5230-SVT on an '07 GT/CS
Hi,
I'm planning to do a little upgrade on my wife's '07 GT/SC and want to throw in an axle back exhaust, as well as a cold air intake. I've been looking at the Ford Racing power pack, and specifically like the tips on the M-5230-SVT mufflers, so was leaning in that direction. However, in comparing the GT and SVT mufflers, it looks like the tips on the SVT are at an angle while the GT tips are straight. Will the SVT mufflers work with the GT/CS valence? Also, while I've had good luck with Ford Racing parts before, I know they aren't always necessarily the best option (that's why I opted for an MGW short shifter). What other (better) options are there? How is the sound on the M-5230-SVT? I like throaty, but don't want drone.

The Stingers are the FRPP GT's (Borlas) and sound awesome. The GT's WILL drone a bit but the GTA's are a tad quieter and don't drone.
The FRPP CAI is a good addition but the FRPP tune isn't your best choice. You'd do better off performance wise (with regard to a Brenspeed or AM tune with the CAI) and price wise (with regard to both the CAI & tune and the axlebacks) if you go aftermarket. And if I recall, the FRPP power pack included a FRPP oil filter. What a crock...
