Unhappy PINGING

NEED SOME ADVICE ASAP. Hi All have a problem. I have a 2008 Gt, steeda cold air kit,sct 93 Octane tune, steeda throttle body spacer, flowmaster 40's. Problem is that when I hit 2nd and even third and I get on the car it pings really loud and it seems that its not opening up, like its almost hesitating. I have made sure that all the hoses and air kit are as tight as they can get. Anyone have any suggestions?? Maybe adjust the timing through the sct tuner. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

It shouldnt ping.
The knock sensors should pull the timing back.
Get that baby on a dyno with a good tuner
and have him diagnose the problem.
Or view the DTCs and see if any were thrown...

And remove the TB spacer...
You do have a FULL tank (no remnants of lower octane fuel)
of proven 93 octane (checked with an octane tester)
not old as the hills fuel?

Throttle Body Spacers have been known to cause problems. Take it out and see if the problem still exists.

Remove the TB spacer before you're banned and laughed at. Refill the tank from another gas station. I'd even try loading a lower octane tune in case the tune is bad or your local fuel is below par.

Yea, step down one tune and see if the 'pinging' is still there.
After you remove the TB spacer first, of course...

Don't be leary of the lower octane custom tunes. Even a good custom 87 octane tune (with a CAI, too) is about 15-18 RWHP better than the stock 87 tune.

My 05 had a tbs on it when I bought it. I left it on cuz I was to lazy to take it off. That car had some pinging at WOT with my brenspeed tune. Wonder if that was part of it.
