Ford Racing Shorty Headers
Hello all,
Well one of my neighbors in my apt complex contacted me after seeing my mustang. His brother had a 05 Mustang GT which he bought FR Shorty headers for. He let his cousin borrow his car and she totaled It around a corner before he had them installed. I checked them out and they were good but he didnt have the bolts for them.
To get to the point, he offered to sell them to me for $275. I am going to counter offer him for $200 bucks which I think he will take as I can get them with the bolts on AM for $315.
My question before I do this is are they worth it? I really wanted to do long tube headers later on but for the price should I just settle for the shortys? I know the install costs about the same. I am more of a show guy than all out go. So max HP is not important to me. I just want the sound difference and a little more tq. So should I make the offer?
Thank you ahead of time for your responses.

Shorty's won't gain much over stock manifolds which are already shorty.
The whole reason for LT's is that they increase the scavanging effect thus allowing the combustion chamber to evacuate more efficiently and allow more fresh fuel/air on the intake stroke.
