hey guys, anybody else notice a crazy amount of heat coming from the center console? ive been told the cats are right under it causing it to heat up? any solutions?

 

Not quite... The cats are actually right in the footwell area. The exhaust piping does converge right under the console though and I know that made my Hurst shifter hotter than hell sometimes, but I've never had my console get hot.

 

especially if you have an aftermarket shifter its really hot if not properly insulated. It's rather easy taking the console off, so apply a layer of dynamat and a bit of carpet insulation on tap of that and problem solved.
