Yo I have a 2007 mustang gt. Everytime I start it, it will start fine then I put in drive and if it's idleing it will rev up to about 2500 rpms, then it will drop down to about 500 then go back up to 2500 then back down then it will die. Start it again and it continues to do it. You have to keep your foot on the gas to keep it running. Does anyone know what's going on

 

How many miles on the car? Are you the original owner? Any other symptoms? Could be a dirty fuel filter, could be a dirty TB, could be clogged injectors, could be the tune...

I'd clean the TB first, then replace the fuel filter if the TB cleaning doesn't resolve it.

 

Yeah bought it brand new. When I'm driving it runs great as soon as I let off the gas it wants to die, until i've driven it about 15 20 mins. I just don't know what to do.

 

Oh yeah miles are only about 40,000
