I went through Lethal and it was $200. After going through two custom tuners and tunes, well worth it!!! I spent way more on both of those tunes than just one tune from Lund. You should always throw it on a dyno after an email tune with FI though, just to make sure. There are other good tuners here too, I here Justin of VMP can also do these cars.

Mothing reputable I know of. That means someone who knows their stuff with S197s. Not other stuff.

Shawn (Sean, not sure on spelling) knows his stuff. He is still learning the S197s, and he has a very good mentor to help him out (my tuner).

Send a PM to Sactown. Tony is flying out from FL in a while to tune some Ford GTs. He will probably be at AED for a few days tuning cars.

A C6 is not an S197. There are ALOT of tuners in the bay area and Cali that can tune previous model mustangs and the C6. TPS has a few tuners (or one) that have started to train and they have the software to do it, but not the experience or skill to get it done like the really good tuners.

The guy who tunes my car actually went out there for some training and tried to train some of the guys. Not sure how it went, but I can tell you that I know of no one who has gone there and been happy with one of their tunes. Case in point, they built, tuned a motor for guy on this forum and when he left the shop the car couldn't go over 30 something mph. They din't know how to fix it. My tuner stepped in and with one tune got the guy going.

I am not saying by any means TPS is a bad shop. But like alot of shops who tuned every car imaginable prior to the S197, they have not took the time or spent the money to learn how to do it. As far as I know.

What the hell. How does one go about getting in touch with Greg and what kind of price are we talking about?

RET's number is 562 622 2519. You can also email him, but he's a little slow with emails. Also he does not work on Mondays but the shop is open. You'll have to discuss pricing with him but he can be a little expensive. He knows his stuff though.

Looks like I'll be there next Friday.
And I'll finally have a dyno number for everyone that asks and I won't have to say "whipple rates the unit at xxx crank" .

Greg and the guys at RET are good guys. They'll treat you right. Keep us updated on the numbers.

Well, got it done.
Don't really have a "before" number because the first pull was after his best guess with tweaking the template, but the STD corrected numbers (whatever that means) were 467.6RWHP/454.4RWTQ...
which if you figure in the typical 15% drive train loss puts the crank right at 550.1... I guess Whipple's rating for the kit is actually pretty darn close.
I'll post a cleaner view of the graph when I get it scanned tomorrow.
