Default How agressive are Brenspeed tunes?

I just bought a Nitrous kit for my 08 GT. I've been doing my research and it seems like I'll be spraying a 100 shot for now. Not exactly sure why everyone says not to go over 100 shot, but I'll keep it simple for now. I already know about most of the safety stuff, and the plugs and I have all of it. My main question is how agressive are Brenspeed tunes? NX says that you dont need to pull out timing under a 150 shot on a V8, but if Brenspeed added timing when I got their tune, does that mean I'm going to have to pull some out? I have a 93 octane Brenspeed tune, and all the car has is a JLT intake and a shorty header (bought it with shorty's lol) I would just call them up, but I know they are going to say I need to get another custom tune from them, and I didnt buy the nitrous kit from them and I dont wanna spend another $100+ for them to pull a couple degrees of timing when I can do that myself with my X3.

Any input is appreciated, thanks!

I'd give them a call... They have a reputation of being very straightforward with their customers. If they say you need a new tune then you'll pretty much need a new tune.

Agreed.
Brenspeed is as STRAIGHTFORWARD as a NAIL.
There have been a number of mods on our 06GT we were considering and they said they would hold off on. Many other members here have had the same thing happen.

They could have EASILY said to get them just to sell them, but as said before they are as straight as a nail when it comes to being honest with customers and striving to do what is BEST for the customer's Mustangs rather than doing just what sells them more products.

Not many shops out there can say the same thing.

Note:
American Muscle is one the ones that can say the same thing!
Also a very good place to do business.
When talking about Mustang shops/outlets I must always mention that
both of these places are top notch.

If you have access to a dyno you could start by running their 89 octane tune with nitrous, but running 93 octane gas, and then progressively step up the tune and see how it affects the motor.

There are 2 things to think about here, and both affect the motor differently.

1. Total timing - usually advanced. My Bama tune was running 30.5 degrees of total timing @ WOT.

2. Cam timing - usually negative. FRPP cams are usually tuned for -20'ish degrees at WOT.

What does cam timing have to do with running Nitrous safely? I guess I should've specificed ignition timing, but I guess I just assumed everyone would know what I was talking about.
