Default The time has come.. (V3 off again!)

I have fought with myself on selling this kit.. but I love it too much!

This weekend I will be taking it off (5th time) and will be documenting it every step of the way. I will post pics of the process just to show how ridiculously easy it is to set up this unit. I don't mind taking it off EVERY WINTER, since Vortech explicitly warns NOT to run the unit in less than 25 degree weather due to tight clearance issues etc. (BS)

Pics coming soon!

That kinda sucks about the weather though, like I said in the other thread, if I was to supercharge I would probably go with a Vortech to keep the manifold but not if you have to take it off because it gets cold out, I don't think people with prochargers are having to that.

Never heard of that issue, but in North Carolina it is probably not that big of a deal with the warm weather.
Looks like you could start a second career with all the experience your getting.

That is very odd about the Pro-Chargers NOT having the same issues as Vortech/Paxtons do.. I spoke with them and they even said they WOULD cover it under warranty if it does fail during the winter (weird)

I am planning on leaving the intercooler in place and capping off the ends.

Do you guys think snow/crap will get caught in the ducts?? It's no big deal.. when it's time to put it back on, I can just pressure wash it from under neath and from the front (on a lift)

Damn, I just crammed an ridiculous amount of work into 4 hours rofl

I have to say, after everything I have done, it was not terribly difficult but I could see where someone without experience may have some trouble or lack patience.

This will most likely be the last time I take this kit off lol Plan on selling the kit as a "tuner kit" as I am keeping the 39 lbs. fuel injectors, Brisk one step colder plugs and KB boost a pump.

I know I said I didn't mind doing it every year (twice.. one on, one off!) but this is starting to drive me crazy.

Pics coming Sunday

Sounds like its time to start saving money for a different blower?

I BET you are getting tired of having to do that!
