Need some advice please!
So there's a GT on craigslist for $2,500. The only problem with it is there's 150,XXX miles. I don't know if it's worth buying this. I do want a GT, but I do plan on putting an exhaust on it, and intake, throttle body, etc, later on down the road. Is it worth purchasing it? I plan on selling my v6 for 8-10k and then putting a good 2-2,500K into the engine. If I were to replace (look below), and run 91 Octane, will the car run me for another 100,000K+ miles? I will be getting the CAI tune and crap from Bama down the road, but if i run the 91 octane tune with these miles would it be bad? Or should I keep saving and buy a low miled GT.
I plan on getting:
New Camshafts
New WaterPump
New Alternator
New Radiator Hoses
New Steeda Pulley
New Drop in Replacement Air Box Filter
New Fuel Oil Filter
Also for Fluids:
Running Full Royal Purple Transmission, Gear, Oil, Oil Filter, and Radiator Fluid.
Then Power Steering Fluid, and Brake Fluid from another brand..
By doing this, the car should be good for another 100,000 miles as I am pretty much replacing everything but the engine itself.
Or should I save and buy a low mile GT?

I mean i want to do it so bad cause it'd be buying a GT for like 5-6K pretty much!
This is what I plan on putting into it:
Ford Racing GT500 Throttle Body Upgrade Kit (05-10 GT)
Steeda Underdrive Pulleys
Mishimoto Performance Aluminum Radiator - Manual
Mishimoto Silicone Radiator Hose Kit
Mishimoto Performance Transmission Cooler
Ford Motorcraft OEM Spark Plugs
PA Performance Alternator - 130 Amp
Edelbrock High Flow Performance Victor Series Water Pump
Ford Racing EV6 High Flow Fuel Injectors - 47 lb
Ford Motorcraft OEM Fuel Filter
Comp Cams Stage II XFI VSR Camshafts
Comp Cams Phaser Limiter Kit (05-10 GT)
Comp Cams Valve Springs Beehive - 24
Comp Cams Valve Spring Steel Retainers
Ford Racing CNC Ported 4.6L 3V LH Cylinder Head
Ford Racing CNC Ported 4.6L 3V RH Cylinder Head
Ford Racing High Performance Intake Manifold
Drop-In Replacement Filter
Royal Purple 5w20 Motor Oil
Royal Purple Synchromax Manual Transmission Fluid
Royal Purple Extended Life Oil Filter
Royal Purple Max Gear 75w140 Gear Oil
Royal Purple 'Purple Ice' Super Coolant
Optima Yellow Top Performance Battery
I'm honestly just rebuilding the engine, so i'm thinking why not stay with this i'm sure i'd have a good 350+ HP from the Mods itself in here right? And it'd run like a champ!
Subtotal: $6,057.52
Shipping: $0.00
Tax: $0.00
Total: $6,057.52
+$2,500.00
=$8,557.52 - Total Cost for the GT with all of this new stuff.
Or should I just remove the engine, and buy another 4.6L Engine with low miles and put it in there, and replace the radiator, etc. But do no engine mods/bolt ons?

If you're doing all of that to it, it wouldn't make sense why you wouldn't rebuild the bottom end.
These cars will last forever when well maintained...at $2,500 it's a good deal if the body/interior is in good shape.

What would I need to rebuild the bottom end? What I have so far is good? I'm trying to stay in the $8,000 Budget marker, so is there anything you can highlight in red up there that I won't need?

I'd add in the following
Forged Crankshaft
Forged Connecting rods
Forged pistions
when doing those you could look into upping the compression ratio (if you plan to do forced induction then a lower compression ratio would allow more boost but if you're not going to do forced induction then you could up the compression ratio and get more power)
Maybe do a stroker kit and up the displacement to 5L from 4.6L
personally if I were doing that then I'd consider just getting a FRPP crate engine with all the engine upgrades already on it
for $7000 you could get this http://www.fordracingparts.com/parts...KeyField=11829
and that engine would start you at about 400HP but ofcourse there would be a bit more cost for install and shipping

I'd also go with a meziere electric fuel pump.
I see you're in CA, do you plan on driving this on the street? Because some of those mods would likely not pass smog (cams, heads, throttle body, with cams affecting the OBDII test and the heads affecting the actual emmissions). I guess if you keep the existing heads & cams, you could just swap them out when it's time for the smog test, the technician likely won't notice the throttle body as long as you don't polish the outside.
