Question unable to start car

Hello everyone, i have had an issue with my car and i hope someone can help me with it, i own a 05 mustang G/T with the 4.6 litre motor. I have been unable to start it, the problem i have is it won't turn over when i turn the ignition to the start position, but if i disconnect the throttle body wire it turns over. The engine cranks over but it still won't start. I have purchased a code reader and connect it to see it give me a code or what the problem is but it won't finish the complete reading, it will tell me that the test cannot complete, so has any one had this type of problem? I have replaced the throttle body thinking that was the problem, but still no luck, i have replaced the ignition switch, bypassed the nuetral safety switch,no luck, i was told by a locksmith that the coded ignition key was bieng read by the CMU. so that was not the problem, i am at stand still with car, so can some one give some direction as to where to look before i haul it to the dealer... thanks

at this point i would disconnect the battery then start
checking/verifying wiring. the throttle position sensor
and the throttle body motor, each have their own wires
that run to the vehicles computer.

first guess is that one of the wires is shorted to ground.

second guess is that the computer (PCM) is bad.

good luck and i hope you get it sorted out soon.

Did you make sure the car was turned to on before reading the codes? I dont know why the obd2 does that in mustangs like the sct tuner and solus scanner will work fine but other scanners sometimes wont

Default 1996 Mustang GT - blinking theft light (keys are fine)

On a Thursday I had my transmission speed sensor replaced. On Friday, the very next day, I'm driving and the rpms start to bounce like crazy, soon after the car dies...It starts but does not crank and the theft light flashes fast on each attempt. I've tried another key, but to no avail.
