Default Trunk problem!

I have a 2009 Mustang GT with a problem. So this morning I went to put something in my trunk and while I press the button on my keys it makes a very strange noise (clicking and motor strain). I was unsure what the noise was so I tryed to press the button again while trunk was open and it made a worse sound. I closed it and tryed to open it again and it was fine but arriving to my dest and going in my trunk it mad the same strange noise again. Does anyone know what this is? Has anyone experienced it? Do you know how to fix it? Thanks!

My wife's Focus did that - it was a mis-alignment of the trunk latch. We had to take it back 3 times before they were able to figure it out. They would work on it, replace parts, and it would be fine for a week, and then "brraacckkkkkk" - on the third visit I asked the question "are you sure the mechanism is aligned properly?" and 3 years later we haven't had an issue.

My trunk lock motor went bad.

Easy fix. Head to the dealer and get one. Don't burn yourself on the light bulb like I did.
