For anyone here who has lowered their engine 1/2"-3/4" via aftermarket engine mounts, have you run into issues with your driveline angle, particularly stress to the u-joint at the tranny.
I lowered mine 3/4". Actually makes the angles better and makes it easier to align the universal joints not that I had to worry about that since my driveshaft uses a CV joint.
I was considering lowering mine a little so I would have more clearance for an intake manifold cover. In the end I bought the prothane bullets. In theory you are lowering your center of gravity but at that much, I don't know how much it helps.
Thanks for the replies. I'm lowering it for supercharger/strut tower brace/OEM hood clearance. I'm putting a Whipplecharger on and want to continue using a strut tower brace AND stock hood for a "sleeper".
