Exclamation Emissions failure

Hey guys i could use a little help or input!! I put a set of Kooks Headers with catted x-pipe & also the VMP500hp kit. I took it to get emissions because we have to have emissions here & it failed the test??!! Anyone have any insight into this? Cant figure out what i should do,i am told by one person its the cats that came with the Kooks headers & another person says its the tune? Any input would be greatly appreciated. Kooks is supposed to be one of the best & i was told when i bought them they were street legal but that doesnt seem to be the case!!! Thanks again for any input or help!!

contact your tuner, to verify your rear oxygen sensors are
turned on in the tune.

Did they say why you failed? (are the people who told you employees of the testing site or are they other people?)

They said i failed because there is unburned fuel, the air/fuel mixture is too rich, & or the combustion temp & or pressure is too high. i failed the HC, CO & the NOx readings. It was an employee that told me it failed & they also gave me a print out of it.

I did have the person that tuned it turn them back on for the test. Guess i should return it back to the stock tune that it had from Roush just to see if it passes the test & then i will return it back to the current setting. You think i would mess anything up in that short of a period?? Thanks for the input!!

ok it sounds like the rear oxygen sensors probably are turned
on.

you can return it to the Roush tune, but if the front oxygen sensors
are further back in the exhaust stream now, there might be a
trouble code that gets generated. it wouldn't hurt anything to try
it though.

Make sure your car is plenty warm before you go through. Don't turn it off while waiting in line.

I bet its the high flow cats. The cats job is to burn unburnt fuel. Logs of people do not pass with those cats.
