If you had to choose between long tube headers or cams, which would be the best addition for h.p. gain for my mods. in sig.

I would lean toward the headers. Especially in a S/C application. Get the exhaust flowing a bit better. Cams and headers kind of go hand in hand, but if choosing one or the other....Headers.

Hmm I thought it was stated for several years on this forum that changing out the headers was mostly for looks same with doing any mod to the exhaust and that cams will give you a much better bang for the buck.

imo from what I have seen you'd want to change the intake manifold (or add supercharger), throttle body, cams, and injectors but I haven't seen anything mentioned at all about changing headers for performance gain.

when u have fi the best option would be to get headers. if he was NA then cams would be the way to go

Amptor, there is no reason to change the TB. I did a full exhaust change and went with LT's and my car is much faster than it was before and pulls harder through out the range. I have also driven a car with the FRPP cams, muffler deletes, and a tune and it pulled hard to 6,800rpm. If you can only do one, go cams. Otherwise, I plan to do both.

Based on the OP's sig, he is FI. Get the headers, you won't be disappointed. Be sure they are ceramic coated though. If not, send them to El paso Powder Coating and get them coated.

blown and no LT's? cam schmam.. get yourself some decent LT's and take advantage of dropping the restrictive air flow.
