Default Cam Help!

I am thinking about getting the ***** Thumpr Cams and valve springs for my 2007 gt; but I read somewhere that I may need to buy the phaser limiter kit... Is this true? Or will I be fine just buying the cams and springs?

pretty sure you do need phaser limiters, with the 127020 cams. best to
confirm with comp though.

Are you looking for a power increase, or just noise makers?

you need the phasers because over 6800 rpm the vct will make catastrophic timing changes and that is no good for your engine. The phasers act as lockouts to prevent the vct from doing its thing over 6500 rpm thus giving you safe reliable power. I dont really hear anyone saying those cams made a big difference versus the other comp cams or ford racing one. I would get it though so you can make more performance at higher RPMs. Springs are always a good idea too! Otherwise just get the FRPP ones great sound and hp gain with factory reliability.

Make sure you check out the Ford Racing Hot Rods and Brenspeed's Detroit Rockers too. No springs required for either of them. They sound awesome, give a nice power increase and most importantly they keep the daily drive-ability characteristics of the stock cams. This is very important as nobody wants to be stalling out at stoplights. LOL
